With stories both beginning in the academic realm of Marine Science (studying PhDs in the biodiversity of different marine plants), it didn’t take long for partners Gareth & Rainbo Belton to translate that passion and knowledge (along with a taste for great wine) into the science and love of growing and producing wine themselves under their own label ‘Gentle Folk Wines’.
Their grapes are grown in and around the Mount Lofty Ranges wine region of the Adelaide Hills, with a focus primarily on organic and bio-dynamic practices. It's fair to say that the region's longevity is in great hands.
As for style and flavour, the wines produced possess flair, structure, and depth. The wines range from complex chardonnays, to silky Pinot’s, all the way to rich shiraz.
