With recent high accolades including ‘Top Gold’ at the 2022 Orange Wine Show,‘Sparkling White of the Year’ and ‘Sparkling Wine of the Year’ in the 2023 Halliday Wine Companion Awards, we knew we had to get our hands on some of this highly sought after bubbly.
It was certainly a labour of love from the team at Gilbert Wines working on this wine:
“Primary fermentation and maturation in stainless and neutral French oak. Secondary fermentation by traditional method with 68 months on yeast lees.”
The result: a bone dry bubbly, plump (yet balanced) with natural acidity, backed with longing flavours of citrus, lemon rind, and toasty almonds.
