International Pinot Noir Day

International Pinot Noir Day

WHO AM I?

I date back to the Roman Empire, and France is my ancestral home. My DNA is traced to 1000 years before Cabernet Sauvignon.

I am useful for Rosé, Champagne, and Red wine production - but I am only the tenth most planted grape variety in the world.

I’m a drama queen of a grape, with tight bunches and thin skin. My tight bunches earned me my name.

But, in contrast, I am flexible and easy-going as far as food matching goes.

A 2004 Hollywood movie catapulted my reputation and started a trend of drinkers.

As if you NEED an excuse to enjoy me, but I do have one of the highest levels of resveratrol.

Please join me to celebrate my greatness on INTERNATIONAL PINOT NOIR DAY August 18.
