Female led Orbis Wines has arrived.
Managing director and head winemaker Verity Cowley has a clear mission to guide the off-grid Orbis vineyard. Named among the top 50 Australian Vineyards in 2021, the McLaren Vale spot is biodynamic, fully regenerative, and organic practice led, with a goal of being carbon neutral by 2030.
Producing minimal intervention wines that are estate grown and single vineyard, Orbis wines present as vibrant, expressive and just plain old enjoyable.
2025 Orbis Albariño
Grown just a few metres away from the winery, bright and refreshing. Expect melon, lemon, pineapple and honeysuckle to bolster lively acidity and fleshy texture.
2024 Orbis Tempranillo Grenache
McLaren Vale’s famous soils bolstered by sun-soaked slopes and coastal breeze give us this rich drop bursting with dark berries. Soft tannins from handpicked and destemmed fruit fermented in stainless steel and matured in 10% new French oak for 8 months.
2025 Orbis Trousseau
Layered and dynamic, this Trousseauy takes you from crunchy red berries, cherry, cranberry and orange peel, to spicy black pepper and nutmeg, to lifted florals and finishing in a fine soft texture. Balanced and structured, wild fermented.
