With a stacked winemaking resume that includes working for the likes of Shaw & Smith, Shadowfax Winery, and Tolpuddle Vineyard, vigneron Matt Large is no stranger to producing stunning Australian wines.
So with the launch of his very own label; Praeter Wines in 2018 and going full-time with it in 2024, Matt has quickly established himself as a winemaker to watch.

“A savoury textural white… Grapes were whole bunch pressed before being fermented in seasoned French oak. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation was left to occur, and the wine rested on lees for 8 months, building complexity, before being blended and bottled in late 2025.”
