Admittedly, it’s a beer style that isn’t for everyone. But with an open mind and an empty glass, sour beers MAY just be the Summer treat that you never knew you loved. And with so many great offerings being launched by Australian brewers, there is no better time to sample a few and get into sour season.
A few recent faves of ours include One Drop Brewing’s ‘Plum Berliner Weisse’, that oozes with berry tartness finished by full fleshy blood plum sweetness. Or sample the mouth puckering ‘Face Invertor Citrus Sour’ from Little Bang Brewing...the name literally says it all; pair it with a 30 degree day and it’s a winner!
