South Australian Wines

Earning the wine capital of Australia label - South Australian wines are ones not to be missed. It is home to some of Australia’s most loved wineries and have helped put Australia on the world wine map.

However, this region cannot be defined simply, it is home to some of the most innovative wine makers in the country. From cool climate Pinot Noir to new hipster minimal intervention styles with big juicy reds. All in which we sell in store.

Bondar 2018 Chardonnay in store should be on your list from the Adelaide Hills region. This one is cool climate well-made wine with balanced acidity and a gorgeous reflection on the region. Andre Bondar the winemaker knows how to make a chardonnay shine in this classic ‘big reds’ region. Barossa Valley is constantly setting a new standard for Australian Shiraz, Grenache, and Cabernet Franc. The Brave Souls GSM is reflective of this. For a great approachable price, you get a youthful and delicious wine. With silky tannins and texture, this 2018 superstar is worth the try.

McLaren Vale was South Australia’s first established wine region and is now home to some of our favourite wines in store. The region is known for its sustainable approach to wine making and leading Australia into a progressive eco-conscious way of making wine. Dune Wines are guys we’ve had in store for over a year now and ones we won’t be moving on from anytime soon. They farm organically, and ferment simply. Duncan and Peter Lloyd grew up immersed in the wine world and know exactly what they are talking about. These wines are always impressing us in store and a must try if you haven’t got in board with these guys yet.

So, if you are looking to explore a brand-new region which is pretty damn good at what they are doing come in store and grab yourself a bottle or two. These wines also generally won’t cost you and arm and a leg, and you get some extreme quality stuff.
