Andre Bondar the winemaker knows how to make a chardonnay shine in this classic ‘big reds’ region. Barossa Valley is constantly setting a new standard for Australian Shiraz, Grenache, and Cabernet Franc. The Brave Souls GSM is reflective of this. For a great approachable price, you get a youthful and delicious wine. With silky tannins and texture, this 2018 superstar is worth the try.
McLaren Vale was South Australia’s first established wine region and is now home to some of our favourite wines in store. The region is known for its sustainable approach to wine making and leading Australia into a progressive eco-conscious way of making wine. Dune Wines are guys we’ve had in store for over a year now and ones we won’t be moving on from anytime soon. They farm organically, and ferment simply. Duncan and Peter Lloyd grew up immersed in the wine world and know exactly what they are talking about. These wines are always impressing us in store and a must try if you haven’t got in board with these guys yet.
So, if you are looking to explore a brand-new region which is pretty damn good at what they are doing come in store and grab yourself a bottle or two. These wines also generally won’t cost you and arm and a leg, and you get some extreme quality stuff.
