With less than one week to go until Winter, it is certainly becoming Stout weather. And what better way to embrace the dark and brooding style other than with TWO brand new releases from Melbourne’s ‘Westside Ale Works’.
First up we have their ‘Dans Self Doubt’ Oaked-with-Bourbon Stout. A smooth, balanced imperial stout with notes of coconut and vanilla from the rich toasted American oak. Secondly we have their ‘Ryes N Shine’ Oatmeal Rye Stout. The tamer of the two it must be said, but certainly not lacking in flavour as notes of dark chocolate and espresso shine along with a spicy finish thanks to the Rye.
