Antonio's Pinot Gris
The wine generally can be quite bland with ‘ generic ‘ pear flavours. A lot of work has been taken to source grapes from the best vineyard for this variety in Orange; a significant pedigree of wines has been sourced from this vineyard. This wine has been barrel fermented, lees stirred and matured. The result is a wonderfully complex wine, aromatically the wine relies on varietal spiced pear, but has a touch of charry oak, yeast complexity (a little sweet cheese cloth), and citrus. I think of freshly squeezed lime.
