Whilst the Cofield family have been treading the vineyards of Victoria for over a century, Max Cofield was the first to do so, releasing a PNC under his own name when he established Cofield wines in 1990

This wine started its life as a trial batch I was working on with my father Max a couple of years earlier. Whilst none of those micro batches ended up seeing the light of day, they did give us confidence to proceed with this style in 2008 where conditions where more favourable to the opulent yet elegant style we are seeking.

Crafted from premium fruit grown in nearby King valley, this wine has had 10 years aging on yeast lees in the bottle prior to disgorging giving the wine great depth and complexity.
