"Medium-depth colour, light for this grape, with a very charming and complex bouquet of raspberry, dried herbs and mixed spices. A whisper of star anise, and maybe iodine. The wine is light-bodied and soft-textured, not concentrated but lovely to drink young. A lighter red for lighter foods" Huon Hooke
