Foreign Friends 'Louise' Chardonnay 2023

Chardonnay from Beechworth, from the Malsem vineyard, a small vineyard on the Woolshed falls side of town grown on granite soil and at about 350m of elevation. The grapes were then basket-pressed, fermented and aged in small old oak barriques (4 years old barrels). No malolactic fermentation. It has very subtle stone fruit notes on the nose with a hint of toasted nuttiness coming from the lees, the palate offers quite a lot of textures with a beautiful finish.
