Renzaglia 2021 Shiraz di Renzo
Made with fruit sources from 2 vineyards in the Orange GI; Boreelane and Amaroo Rd. There was a combination of different extractions; 20% whole bunch, 100% whole bunch (2 months), whole berries punched down and whole berries with minimal punch downs. The ferments were eventually pressed off to a range of maturation vessels made up of a smidgen of new oak (5%), older barriques and a 750L foudre named Joline. The wines were all matured on full lees and remained un sulphured throughout the Winter when things started warming up and the volatility reached a point we weren’t comfortable being exceeded. In January the wines came out of barrel into the final blend and were filtered lightly before bottling on the March 10th.
